The metals frenzy is the trade of 2026 — copper's leading, and I'm loaded with names.

📰 In This Issue…
The market is recovering from a 15-week consolidation — the Nasdaq especially. The SPX and Nasdaq just bounced strongly back above their 20-day and 50-day moving averages, a bullish signal, and the VIX has fallen hard.
One note of caution: most of these stocks have built deep bases, and deep bases don't always run far above prior highs — they can resolve into double tops. The market is also already up ~10% on the year (above average), so I'm bullish but selective here.
The clearest strength is in metals — silver, gold, and copper are all flashing very bullish signs, with copper leading the way. That's where a lot of today's list lives.
Here's what I'm watching.
Best Stocks To Buy Today
$HPE ( ▲ 7.96% ) — Hewlett Packard Enterprise (Long-Term Trade)
Who they are: HPE makes enterprise servers, storage, and networking — a core beneficiary of the enterprise AI and data-center build-out.
The Monthly/Weekly View: A 15-week base (~4 months) at all-time highs — a great sign.
The Daily View: A VCP (Volatility Contraction Pattern) — this kind of coiling typically precedes explosive moves.
The Trigger: Strong sector, with peers like $DELL ( ▲ 4.46% ) already broken out.

🦅 Long-Term Trades — Fundamentally Strong Companies
These names have built massive bases (>3 months), so they're primed for long, big moves. This list focuses on fundamentally sound companies.
🪙Copper Stocks
Copper just broke out of a 5-year base and is leading the metals complex — the miners tend to follow.
$HBM ( ▲ 4.67% ) – Long term trade
Who they are: Hudbay is a diversified copper/zinc/gold miner across the Americas — the higher-quality of the two main copper names here.
The Monthly/Weekly View: In the middle of a big base — currently a 6-month base forming a VCP (Volatility Contraction Pattern), and coils like this normally lead to explosive moves. It's a consolidation after an 8-month run that broke out of a 13-month base.
The Daily View: The stock had a false breakout to all-time highs, then came back to test previous lows. This is not one to buy outright — since it's still inside the base, build a position slowly.
The Trigger: Following copper's 5-year base breakout. Fundamentals look great, and peers like $TGB ( ▲ 5.41% ) are showing strong patterns.
HBM Daily
HBM Daily
$TGB ( ▲ 5.41% ) – Long term trade
Who they are: Taseko is a North America-focused copper miner — a higher-beta, lower-quality way to play copper than $HBM, so size accordingly.
The Monthly/Weekly View: Also in a big 6-month base forming a VCP, following an 8-month run out of a 13-month base. Strong support around $6.20, where it keeps printing shakeouts on the monthly and weekly.
The Daily View: The pullback here is cleaner than in $HBM. It's in a consolidation range — build slowly and wait to see if it breaks out.
The Trigger: Following copper's 5-year base breakout with a strong sector behind it. Fundamentals are poorer than $HBM ( ▲ 4.67% ) , so size sparingly.

🎲 Long-Term Trades — Speculative
Massive bases (>3 months), primed for big moves. These companies may not be profitable yet, but the technical structure promises upside.
$VGNT ( ▲ 4.62% ) (Versigent PLC) — Long-Term Trade (Speculative)
The Company: Versigent is the electrical-systems business that spun out of Aptiv back in April — they build the power wiring, connectors, and high-voltage architecture for cars, EVs, and the grid. Because it's a fresh spinoff, it's still finding its feet as a stock, which is what makes it speculative.
The Monthly/Weekly View: A 13-week cup-and-handle sitting inside a 4-month base.
The Daily Setup: Popped out of the pivot on 77% relative volume. Textbook.
The Trigger: It's at all-time highs, so there's nobody stuck up top waiting to sell into the move — no overhead supply to fight through.

The chip-architecture / IP licensor behind most of the world's processors.

AUGO Daily
$AU ( ▲ 2.63% ) — AngloGold Ashanti (Swing)
One of the world's largest gold producers. A 4-month base (big bases → big moves) with a weekly shakeout. Looks to be forming a VCP — each consolidation smaller than the last. Build a small position in the base and keep adding as it works toward all-time highs. One of the strongest gold stocks.

📊 Trading Framework Reminder
Remember: Every long-term investment alert can also be played as a swing trade. When shorting, risk management is even more critical.
🦅 Long-Term Investors (3-12 Month Holds)
-
Entry: Full position on breakdown.
-
Profit Taking: Cover 1/4 to 1/5 at Goal 1.
-
Exit Signal: Close above 20-day EMA (your trend guide) or 50-day EMA.
-
Why? Strong moves are hard to time at the bottom, but the 20EMA acts as a reliable trend filter.
⚡ Swing Traders (2-6 Week Holds)
-
Entry: Full position on breakdown.
-
Profit Taking: Cover 1/3 at Goal 1.
-
Final Exit: Cover the remainder at Goal 2.
