Semis, metals, AI all hit. One healthcare leader is quietly coiling.

📰 In This Issue…
It's been a quiet one. A lot of the market got hit.
The stuff that was leading, AI stocks, builders, semis, gold, silver, copper, all pulled back over the last few weeks. The overall market is still pretty steady though. That's because money is rotating into the sectors that were weak before, like energy and consumer cyclicals.
So here's the problem. The old leaders don't have entry points right now, and the new names setting up have poor entries. Not a great spot to be forcing trades.
Honestly, the best position right now is to sit and wait. The opportunities always show up. I've got one name I like this week, and it's a slow build, not a chase.
📈 Stock of the Day
$LLY ( ▲ 0.28% ) — Eli Lilly (Long-Term Trade)
Who they are: Eli Lilly is one of the world's biggest drugmakers, behind the leading diabetes and obesity drugs. One of the strongest healthcare stocks out there.
The Monthly/Weekly View: This is a base on a base on a base. A 5-month base sitting on a 6-month base, sitting on a 16-month base. That's roughly 27 months of basing. The stock is coiling while slowly grinding upward, and the weekly chart shows the same base-on-base structure.
The Daily View: A strong earnings day back in August, then a shakeout and recovery of the 50-Day MA. It broke out and has now come back to test the breakout level.
The Trigger: Strong in a weak market, strong fundamentals, and one of the strongest names in healthcare. Best play here is to slowly build a position rather than go all in at once.
Heads up: Lilly reports earnings again on Oct 29, so keep your size sensible going into that.

📊 Trading Framework Reminder
Remember: Every long-term investment alert can also be played as a swing trade. When shorting, risk management is even more critical.

-
Entry: Full position on breakdown.
-
Profit Taking: Cover 1/4 to 1/5 at Goal 1.
-
Exit Signal: Close above 20-day EMA (your trend guide) or 50-day EMA.
-
Why? Strong moves are hard to time at the bottom, but the 20EMA acts as a reliable trend filter.
âš¡ Swing Traders (2-6 Week Holds)
-
Entry: Full position on breakdown.
-
Profit Taking: Cover 1/3 at Goal 1.
-
Final Exit: Cover the remainder at Goal 2.
