The Great Rotation: 12 breakouts as money leaves AI

Are you positioned for the great rotation?

📰 In This Issue…

This is a healthy correction, not a breakdown. The important part is where the money is going: it's rotating out of the crowded AI and mega-cap trade and into the broader market — and broadening breadth like this is a bullish signal, not a bearish one.

While AI names keep taking their lumps, leadership is popping up everywhere else. Restaurants like $EAT ( ▼ 1.12% ) and software names like $SEZL ( ▲ 4.42% ) and $DAVE are pushing to all-time highs. Under the surface, small caps, copper, and international markets are quietly taking the baton.

The market does not reward activity. It rewards positioning. So today we're getting in front of the leaders in the groups that are actually working.

Here's what I'm watching.

Best Stocks To Buy Today

What it is: Since you can't buy the metal outright, $CPXR is a 2x leveraged ETF that tracks the daily move in copper — the cleanest way to get geared exposure to the breakout.

The Monthly View: Copper has broken out of a 5-year base (2021–2026) and is now printing its first 4-month pullback after that 54-month base — this can be a strong 2-year move. Zoom out and that 5-year base sits inside a 10-year base, which means this could run for up to 4 years.

The Weekly/Daily View: A Cup and Handle breakout. Price is testing the breakout level and bouncing off it — while simultaneously bouncing off the 50-Day MA.

💡 Tip: Trade copper through $CPXR (2x). And keep the copper miners $HBM and $TGB on your radar (covered below).

🦅 Long-Term Trades — Fundamentally Strong Companies

These names have built massive bases (>3 months), so they're primed for long, big moves. This list focuses on fundamentally sound companies.

$PACS ( ▲ 1.86% ) – Long term trade

Who they are: PACS Group operates post-acute healthcare and skilled-nursing facilities across the US — a domestic-revenue healthcare name, squarely in the kind of group money is rotating into.

The Company: Recently crushed earnings with a 13% surprise and is aggressively expanding its footprint across the United States.

The Macro/Monthly View: Forming a 5-month flat base. Zoom out and that base is actually the handle of a much larger 3-year Cup and Handle.

The Trigger: Breaking out to all-time highs. This is an IPO base, and crossing the initial IPO high is a major technical event that typically attracts heavy institutional volume.

🪙 Copper Stocks & Play

Once copper runs, the copper stocks tend to follow. Copper itself (via $CPXR ( ▲ 5.28% ) ) is covered up top — here are the two miners to build alongside it.

$HBM ( ▲ 10.37% ) — Hudbay Minerals (Long-Term Trade)

Who they are: Hudbay is a diversified copper/zinc/gold miner across the Americas — the higher-quality of the two main copper names here.

The Monthly/Weekly View: In the middle of forming a big base — currently a 6-month base. This base still has a while to go, because the 30-week MA is still sloping down. It's a consolidation after an 8-month run that broke out of a 13-month base.

The Daily View: The stock had a false breakout to all-time highs, then came back to test previous lows. This is not one to buy outright — build a position slowly.

The Trigger: Following copper's 5-year base breakout. Fundamentals look great, and peers like $TGB ( ▲ 9.97% ) are showing strong patterns.

HBM Daily

$TGB ( ▲ 9.97% ) – Long term trade

Who they are: Taseko is a North America-focused copper miner — a higher-beta, lower-quality way to play copper than $HBM, so size accordingly.

The Monthly/Weekly View: Also in the middle of a big 6-month base — a consolidation after an 8-month run out of a 13-month base. Strong support around $6.20, where the stock keeps printing shakeouts on the monthly and weekly.

The Daily View: The pullback here is cleaner than in $HBM ( ▲ 10.37% ) . It's in a consolidation range — build slowly and wait to see if it breaks out.

The Trigger: Following copper's 5-year base breakout with a strong sector behind it. Fundamentals are poorer than $HBM, so size sparingly.

🎲 Long-Term Trades — Speculative

Massive bases (>3 months), primed for big moves. These companies may not be profitable yet, but the technical structure promises upside.

$AEHR ( ▲ 27.86% ) — Aehr Test Systems (Long-Term Trade)

Who they are: Aehr makes semiconductor test and burn-in systems (silicon carbide, AI, and EV chips). Low revenue and hype-driven — hence speculative.

The Monthly/Weekly View: The stock cleared all-time highs after 4 years. Clearing big bases like that can drive moves lasting up to 2 years. After the breakout, we're seeing a pullback to the 30-week MA — a good spot to start building.

The Trigger: Fresh all-time-high breakout with room to run — but keep it speculative and size it that way.!

🎲 Long-Term Trades — Argentina Stocks

The Argentine market ($IMV) is at all-time highs and attempting to break out of a 1-year base — the "Milei reform trade" in full swing. When the index breaks out, it tends to drag its leaders with it. The banks below — $GGAL ( ▲ 1.98% )  , $BBAR ( ▲ 2.4% )  , $BMA ( ▲ 2.44% )  , $SUPV ( ▲ 0.42% ) — all share a similar structure, so pick your favorite and build one position.

$YPF ( ▲ 1.76% ) – Long term trade

Who they are: YPF is Argentina's majority state-owned oil & gas major — the energy anchor of the Argentina trade.

YPF Daily

$GGAL ( ▲ 1.98% ) – Long term trade

Who they are: Grupo Galicia is one of Argentina's largest private financial groups — the lead name of the bank basket.

The Monthly/Weekly View: A 1.5-year inverted Head & Shoulders pattern. Watch the weekly; add to the core position on pullbacks to the 20/50-Day MA. Watch resistance at the all-time highs — if it fails, exit; if it breaks out, add and ride the move.

The Daily View: The stock crossed a falling 50-Day MA, ran up, and has now come back to bounce off the now-rising 50-Day MA for the first time — a strong signal.

The Trigger: The Argentine market ($IMV) is pushing to all-time highs and dragging the banks with it.

GGAL Monthly

GGAL Daily

$BBAR ( ▲ 2.4% )  , $BMA ( ▲ 2.44% )  , & $SUPV ( ▲ 0.42% )  – Long Term Trades

Who they are: $BBAR (BBVA Argentina), $BMA (Banco Macro), and $SUPV (Grupo Supervielle) are Argentine banks moving in lockstep with $GGAL on the macro debt-resolution / reform trade.

Shared Setup: All three carry the same 1.5-year inverted Head & Shoulders structure as $GGAL — a cross of the falling 50-Day MA, a run, and a first bounce off the now-rising 50-Day MA. Same playbook: add on pullbacks to the 20/50-Day MA, exit if the all-time-high resistance rejects, add if it breaks out.

Who's strongest: $BBAR ( ▲ 2.4% ) and $BMA ( ▲ 2.44% ) show slightly stronger price action — their pullbacks aren't as aggressive. $SUPV ( ▲ 0.42% ) is the weakest of the group but follows the identical structure. Pick one of the four and build a single position.

📊 Trading Framework Reminder

Remember: Every long-term investment alert can also be played as a swing trade. When shorting, risk management is even more critical.

🦅 Long-Term Investors (3-12 Month Holds)

  • Entry: Full position on breakdown.

  • Profit Taking: Cover 1/4 to 1/5 at Goal 1.

  • Exit Signal: Close above 20-day EMA (your trend guide) or 50-day EMA.

  • Why? Strong moves are hard to time at the bottom, but the 20EMA acts as a reliable trend filter.

⚡ Swing Traders (2-6 Week Holds)

  • Entry: Full position on breakdown.

  • Profit Taking: Cover 1/3 at Goal 1.

  • Final Exit: Cover the remainder at Goal 2.
